Community Centered Works is accepting gardeners to begin building and planting community gardens throughout Gloversville. We will plant a small demonstration garden at Community Physical Therapy and Wellness on 5th Avenue and full sized gardens on lots in town. Locations being considered are on Harrison Street and Hill Street adjacent to the Rail Trail but visible from the road. Jerry Sherman has been in contact with the owner of a lot on Pine Street who has offered the use of water from the house adjacent to the lot. The produce from the gardens will be given to the participants with extra produce being donated to local food banks. For more information on participating in the Community Garden Project, please call CCW at 775-1968 or Jerry at 725-6681.
